Friday, Jun 15 2007 - I did it my way!
View CWCEBMEY's food & exercise for this day
Last night I came home. I made tuna fish sandwiches, carrot sticks, and mango. Served dinner, ate dinner and then worked out. It was great. I felt good working out. I felt good after I worked out. I was not hungry the entire evening. My husband wanted a Big Mac. I actually went out and got him a Big Mac, large fry and a coke. I did not have one fry, or sip of coke or bite of the Big Mac. I'm so proud of myself.
Tonight, I plan in repeating this exercise pattern. I'll make Kookaboorie sandwiches (turkey and canberry in a pita pocket). I'll serve it along with some healthy side dishes and then I go work out.
Last night, when I got home, my husband's eyes had been dialated from the eye doctor. He did not feel like working out. I said that I would work out by myself. But that motivated him to come along. Hopefully, tonight, we won't feel like working out, so I'll make dinner and then we can go work out together.
I loved the fact that I could work out my way. I like to eat dinner first, then work out. It just seems to work the best for me.
4:15 PM - I just got off the phone with my hubby. He said he was leaving work and heading home and then he said. . . "are we going to work out?" I said yes, but first, we're going to have dinner. Of course he said that he likes to work out first and then eat. So I said, "ok, go work out first, then when you get home, I'll have dinner ready. We'll eat together and then I'll go work out." But then he said, "but I like it when we work out together." Well me too, but I explained to him that working out first and eating second doesn't work for me physically. His is just because he likes to kick back after working out, eat and then kick back some more.
I think we're going to do it my way again. I know I'm going to do it my way.

I like to eat first and work out afterwards too. I think it gives me the extra energy to push myself just a bit more!

Doing it our way is what matters now. It's the best route to successful weight loss (IMHO) so keep it up.
Temptation will always be around us, so you did a great job facing off with those evil french fries. Kudos all around.
Have a nice weekend.
