TGIF! The weekend is ahead. Looming before me will be a lot of choices I need to make about eating.

I will need to chant "nothing tastes as good as it looks on me" or however that saying goes.
Tonight, we are having friends over for dinner. My daughter and her fiancé will be there too. I am making orange chicken (a weight watcher's recipe). This is my husband's birthday dinner that he didn't get on his birthday.
I've cooked the chicken breast to save time. I've set the table, put out the good china, and the candlestick holders. When I get home, all I will need to do is finish making the orange chicken, make the pilaf, broccoli with cheese sauce, bake the croissant rolls, and make spinach salad. It sounds like a lot, but all of this should take about 30 minutes.
I am hoping that my daughter and her fiancée will get to know our friends (one of them is a pastor) and this may encourage her to find someone to marry them. This seems to be a stumbling block for her. It is the only thing that I have told her that she has to do. I do not think that finding the minister is my job. I'm footing the bill, I'm happy to find reception halls, caters, photographers, florists, and wedding gowns. But I think she should find the person to marry them. He is a Mormon and she is Episcopalian. She needs to start going to church and get involved. This wasn't a problem for me when I got married. I was going to church on a regular basis. I was teaching Sunday school every other week. I know she works every other weekend, but there are always Wednesday services or she could go to church when she doesn't have work. Maybe this Sunday she'll go.
It has been a busy week at work. A lot is going on before we move to the big hospital down the road. My moving day is October 15th. We move patients on October 29th. Time is marching on.
