View CWCEBMEY's food & exercise for this day
Yesterday, we had a big snow storm. And for the next few days we will have a snow storm every other day. I like to look at the snow, I like to watch it snow, I like how quite it is when it snows. I grew up in San Diego and the only time I remember seeing it snow there was when I was 5. Making snow men, snow tunnels, snow angels, or having a snow ball fight isn't something I've experienced. My kids have experience that. As much as I enjoy having fun and playing, snow isn't something I associate with fun.
Now the beach. . . that's fun. Building sand castles, digging until you've reached the ocean, jumping in the waves, surfing in the waves, sea shells, sea weed, hot sand, sand in your food, sand in your bathing suit. . . . all of that says fun to me. I miss the beach. I wonder if I will ever live in San Diego again.
Utah is very different from California. There are a lot of things l like about Utah. I am grateful that everyday I can see the mountains (unless it is foggy, smoggy or we have an inversion). I love the four seasons (although Spring and Fall could last a little bit longer). I love long summer days and snuggling in my warm bed on a cold winter night.
The people and culture are different in both states. One isn't better than the other, they are both just different. California is a melting pot of different cultures, colors and traditions. Utah is homogenious. California is spicy and Utah is comfort food.
Well, its time to get back to work. I have not eaten much today. My stomach has been upset. I had some wheat thins for lunch. I'm going to have to think about eating something more substantial and healthy for dinner. It is hard to decide what to eat when I do not have an appetite.
Every month I go through a few days of no appetite and a few days of being famished. I like the no appetite phase. It makes eating the right way easy. But when I'm starving, I want everything. And no matter what I eat or how much I eat, I'm still hungry. Hunger is the number one reason for me to over eat. Craving is number 2.
