This morning, I went downstairs to go and workout. When I went into the kitchen, I smelled something that smelled like stinky urine. It turned out that the pumpkin I had sitting on the countertop was rotting. There was a pool of slimy liquid on the counter and the floor. YUCK!!! The pumpkin, which had not even been cut into was rotting. It now sits in my flower bed in the front yard.

I worked out this morning. My legs are feeling it. I'm supposed to have dinner with a friend tonight, but I'm not sure that I want to. The leaves are turning, it is dark and cloudy, and what I really want to do is make a great soup or stew or something hearty. I suppose it will be this way tomorrow and I can make something yummy tomorrow.

My son is being deployed. He is currently in Nevada. His friend, Nicole, was at my home last night. She cleaned up the basement (where David lives) and spent the night. She said that she is already missing him. We all are. He left Friday morning. He should be back on Halloween. We're going to throw him a farewell party on November 1 or 2 and then he leaves for Indiana sometime between November 4-6. Then in January, he will be deployed to Afghanistan. Mom's not a happy camper.
