View CWCEBMEY's food & exercise for this day
Tomorrow, my son will leave for Indiana for some training before he is deployed to Afghanistan. He was up early this morning and I could hear him bring up his gear and putting it into the Rodeo. He left at 0600.
I stayed in bed for about 15 minutes after that, just thinking. Then, I dragged myself out of bed to go to the gym. I asked my husband if he wanted to go with me, but he said no. He likes to workout during his lunch hour. It can be so easy for a man. Go workout, sweat, shower, get dressed and comb your hair and get back to your day. But for me, it is go workout, sweat, cool down, shower, get dressed, blow dry hair, curl hair, but on make up, put on lotion, get dressed and then get back to my day. If I left the hospital in the middle of the day to go workout, I would be gone for 2 hours.
After I worked out, I went home, showered, etc and then left to vote. It is very rainy and windy, so when I went to vote, I took another shower.
I'm looking out my window and it is still rainning, but not as windy. I can't tell if it is raining or snowing.

I voted by mail. Missed the lines, happily, and didn't have to worry about it. I agree, it is hard to really exercise in the middle of the day. The only time I can really do it is first thing in the morning. Later the day gets way too busy.
Very worrying about your son. A real mixture of pride and anxiety. Fortunately, the odds are in our favor, but it is so devestating if we are one of those who are unlucky. I only have a young daughter, so not doing that worrying yet. It is so hard to see them grow up. We are proud of their independence, but then they take their own risks and there is nothing we can do about it. The best I could do would be to rely on whatever Faith I could pull together to leave him in God's Hands and hope that I could believe in God's Grace no matter the outcome.
