View CWCEBMEY's food & exercise for this day

Yesterday, I climbed 28 flights of stairs. Amazingly, I'm still here to write this down. My buns this morning are sore. This morning, I woke up with my new resolve to lose half as much weight as my husband. I worked out on the bike for 45 minutes and did my core exercises.

I must stay away from the candy in my office. I must tell myself that each mini tootsie roll is empty calories. I have made a lot of bad choices when it comes to food. But the most disasterous choices are when I'm hungry. If I try to stay within my calorie range and I've had candy, I'm doomed to feeling the pangs of hunger. And when I'm hungry, I eat more of the things that I should not be eating.

So this week, I will do 45 minutes of cardio AND stay away from candy.

Last night, when I came home, I was exhausted. I was a little bit hungry, but too tired to do anything about it. . . including thinking about it. I think the stair climb at 2:30 did me in. My husband and I decided to do Teriyaki Express and Jamba Juice. . . there's a 1000 calorie meal. If I had not done the stairs, I would have been over my calorie range. About an hour later, I wanted to eat. But, I knew I had already reach my calorie limit.

Exercise is key to losing weight.
Exercise is key to managing my diabetes.
Exercise is key to managing stress in my life.
Exercise is key to my well being.

OMG I saw your blog entry on the updated blogs and had to see if maybe you were stuck in an underground building in a fire, why else climb 28 flights of stairs :bigeyes3: Good job, my knees hurt just reading that. You are right, exercise is the key.

Yay you! Way to exercise. Now make sure you don't overdo it. If you make yourself too stiff, it will actually set you back.
