View CWCEBMEY's food & exercise for this day

Today is the weigh in day for my hubby and me. My mini goal was to lose half as much as he does. He got on the scale. He has lost 6 pounds this week. Did I lose half of his weight loss?????:afraid2::afraid2::afraid2: YES I DID!!!! :rock1::rock1::rock1: I lost 3 pounds.

Exercise is key to losing weight.
Exercise is key to managing my diabetes.
Exercise is key to managing stress in my life.
Exercise is key to my well being.

I feel even more confident that I'll make my 7 pound weight loss goal by Thanksgiving.

Our dog, Daisy, is doing better with the pain meds. I think that last night was a little hard for her. I carried her back legs up the stairs. This morning, she seemed to be walking and bearing a little bit more weight on it. I gave her a pain pill before my workout. When I came back, she was doing a little bit better. I put the dogs out before I went to work, and something in our back yard caused her to leap out the door and run and bark. Her right back leg was a little wobbly, but she was running on all 4 legs.

I still have not made any decisions yet. The kids want Daisy to have the surgery. My husband said he would be strong enough to put her down, but I just can't justify a healthy old dog being put down. The decision would be easier if Daisy had cancer or kidney failure or something else that isn't really fixable. Or if Daisy had other health problems, it would be easier. But, it is what it is. As long as she isn't in any pain and can move around, eat, and play, I'm ok with delaying my decision.

Hi Cynthia,

Congrats on losing 3 pounds. That is awesome. It must be nice to have someone to do it with. My husband isn't real supportive. Is the exercise and weight loss helping your diabetes? I'm struggling with that, too. My blood glucose levels are getting better, but exercise -- lots of it seems to be the key.

What is wrong with your dog? We had an old dog who was healthy except that his spine was fused. We prolonged his life a little with acupuncture. I hope she gets better.

Good job! You and your husband are doing well on this weight loss journey together. Glad Daisy is doing better, but don't expect your will be able to put off the decision for long. It sounds like you have already made it. Wish the best for all of you
