So how many times have I started with "Today, I'm going to eat right." or "Today, I'm going to exercise." or "Today, I'm going to set some goals and lose weight." Too many to count. That in itself is discouraging.

But having this weight on keeps me prevents me from giving up.
So today, I have made another committment to losing weight....again. Today, I have exercised. Today (so far) I have made good choices in my food selection. Today, I have reminded myself that I will be turning 50 and I want to be under 200. Today, I have reminded myself that I will be going back East to visit family and want to be thinner than last November. Today, I have reminded myself that a trip with friend to the Bahamas is being planned (bathing suit required) and I do not want to be mistaken for a whale.
I want today to be different from yesterday. I want to be successful. I want to be under 200 pounds before I turn 50. Today, I need to constantly remind myself of what I want more quick pleasure or weight loss.
Exercise is key to losing weight.
Exercise is key to managing my diabetes.
Exercise is key to managing stress in my life.
Exercise is key to my well being.

Bravo on your weight loss so far! YES! I love your key reminders... I have diabetes too and CK and the weight loss has helped me so much!
Keep going and you can do it!
I like DANCER's comment... ha ha ha, we should all have bikinis even if we only wear them around the house. AWESOME!

Hey girl, overall you've lost 53lbs thats wonderful. Just keep your mind focused on how far you have come and just keep it up - you are doing great. Stick to healthy unprocessed food and your exercise regimen and you will be getting a bikini for the Bahamas
:) I think we should all have bikinis, even if we only wear them around the house, under a sarong, keeps us feelin feminine...... and .......
