Wednesday, Sep 21 2011 - Feeling Good

I did not make either of yesterday's goal. Clearly, I need to stay away from the sweets. So the number one goal. . . .stay away from the sweets!
I went for my walk/run today. I almost did not go. I did not put my alarm across the room. I turned off the alarm, stood up, and then bent over with my belly on the bed and my feet on the floor. But then, I reminded myself that I needed to do this and that I would feel good after it was over, so I stood up and walked to the closet to get dressed.
And I do feel good. Despite not meeting my goals yesterday, despite my pants still being tight, despite the numerous wardrobe changes I made this morning trying to find something that looked nice, I STILL FEEL GOOD!!!!


Things seem to fall into place for me when I workout in the morning. I seem to handle the stresses of the day with less frustration. I feel more relaxed.
Well, I need to get a lot done today. . . My email is very full and I need to clean it out, I need to do my self evaluation, I need to work on one of my goals, and I have a couple of meetings that I need to attend.
But most importantly, I need to stay away from the sweets. Cynthia, repeat after me. . . . "Step away from the sweets!"
