So this weekend was filled with a lot of gardening, housework, and making good choices for eating. My first choice was Saturday lunch. . . I needed to get lunch for my husband and son. They wanted sandwiches, quick and easy. So, I got them sandwiches from the deli and made my own tuna fish sandwich with some strawberries on the side. An interesting thought has been going through my mind this week. This week, I had a colonoscopy. While I was adhering to the clear liquid diet, I thought, how is it that I am following this diet, but when I need to stick to my regular plan, I am so easily distracted. During Lent, if I give up something, I stick to it. 40 days of no sweets. . . and I do it. But starting off any day with a plan, it seems to fall by the way side. Who knows if it was the fact that I was able to sleep better last night, the new shoes I bought last night, or just plain luck.....but this morning it was easier to get out of bed and workout. Not only was it easier, but I had a better workout. And so far, I feel that great way you feel after you workout. That energized feeling, but also relaxed. Sometimes I wonder how many new beginnings I will have before I lose this weight and keep it off. Growing up, I was thin and never imagined that I would have a chronic weight problem. But the reality is, I have been fat a heck of a lot longer than I have been thin.Friday, January 21st 2011
Today's Motivation: Keep On Moving! It is Friday! Yeah. . . . along with that yeah, I did not want to get out of bed and exercise. BUT, I did. Because I slept in a little bit longer than I intended, I had to really walk fast on the treadmill to get 1.5 miles done.
