Remember all those Rocky movies and that theme song? Well that is what was going through my head when I went to work out this morning. So I thought, why not let that be my motivator today.

I did not meet all my goals yesterday. I did not exercise last night.

But overall, I really enjoyed yesterday.

Today's Goals:
Stick to the menu plan.
Exercise 30 minutes.
Avoid or portion control of food at the wedding tonight.

Enjoy the Journey

Today's lesson: Enjoy the Journey. Before I went to bed last night, I knew that in the morning I was going to have 2 options. If it snowed, I was going to get up earlier than normal and shovel. If it did not snow, I was going to get up earlier and exercise.

It did not snow, so I did not shovel. I did not get up early and exercise, I stayed in bed and over slept. I had an 8:00 meeting up at LDS Hospital and it usually takes about 30 minutes to get there. I left the house at 8:03 an...

Fighting for My Life

Today's Motivation: Fighting for My Life. This is about getting healthy. This is about fighting those temptations, bad habits, and unhealthy decisions that I have made over my life. I need to fight for my future.

I achieved all of yesterday's goal except for 60 minutes of exercise. Exercising in the evening is not something that comes easily to me. . . but I did exercise in the morning and I did complete my menu plan and all of my choices were good.

Today's message to myself. . . No Excuses! Just Do It.

I did exercise for 32 minutes on the treadmill this morning. While dinner is cooking or after dinner, I will go downstairs for another 30 minutes.

Today's goals:

Exercise for 60 min
Make healthy choices in food selections
Plan out this week's menu

Exercise is key to losing weight.
Exercise is key to managing my diabetes.
Exercise is key to managing stress in my life.

Falling Down and Getting Up

Yesterday, I was doing well until 5:00. I left work and went to Walmart to get some chicken for the grill. My bladder was full when I left work and I just pushed on through Walmart. Being female, using the public restrooms are only for emergencies.

I got home, unloaded my car, locked it up and went into the house. Greeted my husband and then went staight to the bathroom. RELIEF!!!!

And then it hit. I started feeling shakey. I took my blood sugars and they were 102. Not bad, but...
