So how many times have I started with "Today, I'm going to eat right." or "Today, I'm going to exercise." or "Today, I'm going to set some goals and lose weight." Too many to count. That in itself is discouraging.

I woke up to a lot of snow, wet heavy snow. . . .It's April 1st and Mother Nature is playing a joke on us! And the jokes have already started at work. My colleagues were discussing jokes of the past. . . the best one was taking an oreo cookie apart and replacing the white filling with toothpaste. Her husband started to eat the oreo cookies and she said, "Don't they taste kind of funny?" He said, "Sort of, what kind are they, mint?". . .Friday, March 19th 2010
So why is it that when I do not work out, I'm not very hungry throughout the day. But when I do work out, I feel hunger.
Yesterday, I did not work out.
As is my normal routine, I do not eat before the workout (I just want to get it over with). Then ...

So I'm starting to see some movement on the scale. It is gradually going down. I'm feeling better about exercising and I'm feeling more in control of what I eat. I still find myself wanting to snack. I've given up sweets for Lent and that leaves SALT. I just want to munch.Tuesday, March 16th 2010
I have my daughter's dog this week. He is a hyperactive, adorable beagle. This morning I took both dogs for a walk / run. They loved it. After 40 minutes of the great outdoors, marking every thing in sight, we returned home. The always energized beagle, Einstein, was well behaved, but still, I could see the energy in his wagging tail. I wish I had his energy.
