Deadlines and Consequences

Part of setting a goal is having a deadline. Sometimes when I set a deadline, it is a huge motivator, a challenge. Other times, it seems to just pass by as if I never wrote it down or even gave it a second thought. I'm not sure what is the difference between when the deadline works and when it doesn't. But I do think it is important for me to figure it out. I think I could be more successful if I understood when my deadlines have an impact and when they do not.

FRIDAY!!!

Yesterday was eventful. My sister-in-law had her baby. . . a little girl, 8lb 9oz. My nephew turned 30. My neice and her husband are safe (they are at Ft. Hood, TX). One of my colleagues had her last day in our department. My granite countertops came, but the company didn't measure correctly, so I still do not have any countertops.

Hump Day

Hump Day. . . I did not get a chance to exercise on Monday, but I have exercised yesterday and today.

Yesterday, for the first time in a very long time, my blood sugars were too low. Aside from yesterday, they have been very good. But yesterday, as I was driving home from work, I began to feel scared. At first, I thought it was just because I had a near miss car accident. Monday

Monday, November 2nd 2009

It's Monday, and what do people do on a Monday. . . turn over a new leaf, start a diet, workout, begin again. . . and that is what I am doing. . . beginnig again.

I am setting a goal for myself. I want to get below 200 before Christmas. I should be able to do this. Correction. . . I will do this.

There will be challenges. There are always challenges. Currently, my kitchen is being remodeled making it difficult to cook at home. Eating out every night isn't a good thing. But hopef...

Feeling Positive

I did not want to go to the gym this morning. But I made myself. 9 minutes into my routine, I wanted to quit, but I kept on the elliptical until I met my goal of 30 minutes. I actually went for 31 minutes. Now, I feel great. I feel awake. I feel energized. I'm glad I worked out.
