So, this week has been full of emotional and financial hardship. I've been struggling to stay motivated AND i've still managed to eat within my calorie allotment (even though some days it feels like I'm not eating OK, I look here and I see I've actually eaten 1200 - 1500 calories a day!). Plus, ive been dealing with not having any money but its getting better. I get paid next week for work and HOPEFULLY my refund will come also so, as India (and Jesus) says, "This too shall pass".
Anywho, today i wasn't feelin all too hot but i went to work out and i actually had a pretty good work out. Oddly. I really love the elliptical I tell ya. The new fitness center opens Monday and I am SO excited to get in there! I'm gonna have a fabulous work out, which will be great considering Tuesday is CHECK IN. Other than the seemingly usual stressors, life has been OK. A friend of mine I used to work with is also doing a "lifestyle change" and she and I are VERY competitive with each other (we both strive to be better than the other--its weird--we also have the same birthday and are a year apart) so we are pushing each other as well. I am finding that I have a GREAT support system and there's no WAY i can fail this time!
I've also figured out that I don't really need red meat anymore -turkey and chicken are GREAT! Me & the BFF made turkey burgers for dinner w/fat free cheese (30 cal/slice) and they were TO DIE FOR. Next time I make them, I just need to get lower-cal buns: 170 cals for a bun is WAY too much! Anyways, I am actually pretty happy and I feel good about what I'm doing. Three weeks today! I'm just going to keep on pushing! Oh, and i also LOVE Calorie King. This site is so helpful. I'm going to keep on pushin i tell ya! Pray for me.
