Here's a pic of me at my mom's house over the summer. That was such a reckless period. Despite the smile, I really didn't care about myself. Yay for progress
Day 31 of 142
Yay! Our classes tonight were cancelled due to snow! My friend and I were joking that, in Cleveland, even if there was a foot of snow, you'd be lucky if you got a 2 hour delay. LoL Gotta love Dayton! This AM, the scale said 238.4 (i think). I'd like to hold steady at 238 for Thursday's weigh-in. Plus, that will give me an added confidence boost for my interview. Sometimes, it feels surreal to say I've lost nearly 60lbs, like I'm lying or like I've been starving myself, but really, I just eat better & exercise and I STILL eat what I want! I dunno, as the numbers get larger, it gets harder to believe. Did I really do this all by myself?! It's true, if you just do it one day at a time, it all adds up! It doesn't even feel like that much time has gone by or that much has changed. I

it!
Anywho, despite the snow, I was SUPER ready to go work out. My best friend got me Napster to Go so I could
finally update my Mp3 player. I got sick of listening to the same songs! So I was so ready to experience a work out with new songs. I was kind of worried about getting bored with my cardio, but i think new jams is just the change I need. Today's work out was kind of annoying, considering I changed machines 3 times. The first elliptical I got on was super loud and it was really annoying. So I got off hoping to get on the other elliptical but these girls came in and jumped on them before I could get to it. So instead, I got on the treadmill and powerwalked for 10 minutes and jogged for 5
straight minutes!! That was pretty exciting. And i didn't feel like I was face to face with death like I used toL

So then after that, I got on
another elliptical and the battery was "low" so I could adjust the ramp, so I had to work with that and just increase the workload. Oh well. I ended up doing appx 58 minutes of Cardio which was pretty cool. Despite the annoying machines, it was pretty good.
I've been considering doing Couch to 5K but I think I am going to wait until Spring because I don't think I could do it on a treadmill. I think that's something I'd have to do on a track. Needless to say, we'll see.
So last night I talked to the guy who hit on me in the tunnel. It was...interesting. It wasn't bad, but more or less overwhelming. It was kind of weird because he read through
every single wall I threw his way, and - while he did make sense - I just can't jump into something all willy nilly. It was just crazy because I've
never met someone who was so...ademant (sp). Like, it was really flattering, but a little scary. He was trying to come over today, but I'm not inviting ANYONE over I just met. Hell no. And then end up being a stalker/serial killer? Hell to the naw. Needless to say, while i don't think anything will happen, it was still flattering and a DEFINITELY self-esteem boost. I haven't feel
that desirable in quite some time! Who knows, maybe this is just the beginning of me getting my swagger back! LoL I still think it's funny.
The snow is really coming down here and I'll be
damned if I go anywhere! I'm just really glad I got my workout in. It's funny, cuz i can now actually say, "rain or snow, I get my workout on". Holla! I was proud of myself for treking through the snow. Now, i guess I'm just going to sit in the house and watch the snow fall.
Geez, that guy from the tunnel would be fairly convenient right now for some random cuddling...
Have fun snuggling with your husbands and wives and kids and whomever!

I'm so happy that you are getting your swagger back. You are so wise to be careful with someone that you've just met. You never know... I hope that you are enjoying the snow! I'll bet that it is beautiful. I know that it is Black History month because we have young guys of all races hanging out at our house and one of them commented that our calendar didn't have Black History month listed on it. So, I printed a big Happy Black History Month banner and put it at the top of the calendar! I can't wait for him to come over and see it. I wish that you could come over to my house because besides us being great friends, I also have a house full of nice, young men from 18-23 years of age hanging out here.
