Awww, thank you guys SO MUCH for all of the l

ve and support!!
So, the weekend is over and I guess now it's time to get back to normal but
I DON'T WANNA!!
So Saturday morning, I'm up and L and I are out the door ready to go. Well, as we get closer to the race site, we start to realize I don't have any gas so I'm freakin out, "if we get to the site, are we going to have enough gas to get to a gas station?!" So mind you, this is at about 8:30 (the race starts at 9) so I'm like "as much as I want to do this race, I'd prefer to be able to LEAVE the race afterwards" so we leave and rush to the gas station so we can be sure we'll be able to leave. Well, we get back to the race at like 8:50 and when I'm picking up my number, the announcer is saying "we're going to get this started in about 5 minutes" And I'm freakin out like "I'm not even going to have time to stretch" so LUCKILY they had a lot of filler stuff before the actual race (speakers, announcements, etc.) so I got a chance to stretch during those. Well, I decided to start in the WAY back because I didn't want to get caught up in the crowd and when it finally started, I had a really great pace. I never was really tired, more like "are we almost to the end yet?!"

Well, once we got to the end, there were these 2 girls in front of me and I really wanted to beat them so I was trying to push it but I guess they didn't want to get beat by a big black girl lol. Anywho, once I got to the finish line and saw the time, I was like WHOA! Are they SERIOUS?! I couldn't believe how fast it was! At the end, I actually saw one of my old professors from my previous school and it was so refreshing to see a familiar face!
All in all, the race was an amazing experience. I felt such an amazing sense of accomplishment and I really feel like the sky is the limit. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture at the race because I was ready to just go home and snuggle cuz we had been up since 6:30 (which really doesn't happen). I do

races, and I am already ready to do the next one in September! My goal for that one is to finish under 30:00, which is DEFINITELY doable! In March, I had just started running for more than 10 minutes, and now I'm running for more than
THIRTY!! I'm loving meeting these milestones! Well, now life is back to normal and I've got a new somebody in my life who makes me happy and I'm working on staying healthy and trying to be the best me I can be.
I also wanted to say again that it was SO SO refreshing to see all of the comments and the support after my race! I honestly didn't expect so much love and so much support and I am truly blessed to have the support from all of you. I thought about you guys and everything I've accomplished here and all the friends I've made and I'm just incredibly grateful for this experience!
I'm going to try to get a picture in my race shirt today because I really want a picture in it! Later my dears!!
