View DESIRAE_NICOLE's food & exercise for this day

Well, I last posted in my blog almost 4 months ago. I probably last gave effort to losing weight about 6 weeks ago. I got tired.

In April I found an online trainer that put together a nice little workout schedule that included plenty of lunges, squats, push-ups, jump-roping, and everything else that is good for you. I toughed out 5am workouts for nearly 6 weeks. It was great. I was so-so tracking food... My weight (then at 182) never moved, but I lost inches like crazy. My thighs slimmed down a ton and I was able to fit into my size 14s! After burnout from the workouts and life, I took a break and started to sleep 8 hours a night. It was a beautiful thing to get so much sleep! I even lost a few more pounds, for a bit.

I am at 181.4 right now. In my absence from the great weight loss race, I have not gained. (Although I did visit 179 for a week or so).

I am ready to get back to business. I am working to track and I've been pretty decent about it for 4 days now. :) Not all green checks, but even logging everyday is a huge accomplishment in my book. I'm limiting my exercise to walking and elliptical work right now.

***Reason to follow, kind of gross***

I broke my ankle about 1.5 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter. I have one plate and 5 screws in my ankle. Last weekend my ankle started to swell. I iced it down, but spent the following week with burning shooting pains at the site of the surgery. After a few days a spot on the surgical scar took on the appearance of having fluid in it. About a week from the swelling some skin peeled away from the site and there was oozage of blood and pus. I am now on antibiotics to protect from infection and I see my orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to see if there is hardware moving or whatever the heck is causing the problem. My husband is betting on a spider bite, but how likely is it that a spider bit me DIRECTLY on my surgical scar??

I'm not experiencing much pain after the site has opened up, but it's still pretty gross looking. I don't want to tax my body until I've got the thing under control. I'm not looking forward to getting surgery to remove hardware. Mostly don't want to be bothered with recovery time and such.

So, hello again. I hope to be much more active this go round and get all my food logged. All The Time. I won't be successful otherwise!

I agree with you what are the chances of a bite right on the scar !! Sometimes just tracking for a few days even if a little over helps you get back in the swing of things....Great efforts on getting back to it ! :y::y:

Oooh, the ankles sounds painful. I hope it heals soon.
I've been on a weight loss break too, and ready to take control again. More veggies, more exercise, and less processed foods.
Take care!
