I've given myself a three day weekend by taking a day off tomorrow. It's nice to have an extra day to spend time with my little one, take care of my house, and enjoy the summer. I'm going to need some extra time for a programming homework assignment I have due on Monday too. I am currently taking a C++ programming class. Any other programmers out there?

For Saturday I am planning a family outing to Helena, Montana to see the Gates of the Mountain by charter boat. I'm excited to do some summer like activities, because I have felt pretty houseridden between homework and a 1 year old that goes to bed at 6 pm. I know, I know, I should be thankful! :)

Update on the ankle situation (please see previous post for description):

Saw my orthopedic surgeon and Xrays were taken to see if the hardware had moved any. No movement at all. The Dr didn't like the look of the sore though, and says I could have a persistent bacteria on my hardware. If my sore heals up - then all is well, but if it is still around next week they are going to have to remove the hardware. I guess the bacteria sticks to the hardware like a barnacle sticks to a boat. So my own immune system can't kill it.

No pain really, so that is good. But Dr says to keep to walking only right now. Tracking food is going well - I'm about 6 days strong on tracking! The numbers are falling into place too. but, the weekend is next. I find weekends particularly hard to stay on track, but I'm feeling pretty optimistic about it right now. So, I should be good. I think I am going to try to stick to the same meal times and types I have used all week. Eggs and english muffin for breakfast - yogurt and fruit for first snack - frozen dinner for lunch - carrots and hummus for second snack - chicken on spinach for dinner.
