My little one is almost 1.5 years. I'm still hacking away at my college degree and have just over 3 months left. I am wanting to get healthy and lose 20ish pounds. BUT, also have plans for another baby not too far down the road!

This is my blog about not losing weight. I wanted to take the time to put down my thoughts about how good a job I am doing at not losing weight. I'm not logging my food - so that helps a lot. I let the weekends get me super off track and I stay there. I always said that I would lose weight if my husband was out of town because I would just have a small single dinner. Well, turns out I turn to eating out of boredom instead. Aren't I doing great at not losing weight!

I've given myself a three day weekend by taking a day off tomorrow. It's nice to have an extra day to spend time with my little one, take care of my house, and enjoy the summer. I'm going to need some extra time for a programming homework assignment I have due on Monday too. I am currently taking a C++ programming class. Any other programmers out there?

Well, I last posted in my blog almost 4 months ago. I probably last gave effort to losing weight about 6 weeks ago. I got tired.
In April I found an online trainer that put together a nice little workout schedule that included plenty of lunges, squats, push-ups, jump-roping, and everything else that is good for you. I toughed out 5am workouts for nearly 6 weeks. It was great. I was so-so tracking food... My weight (then at 182) never moved, but I lost inches like crazy. My thighs slimmed d...

I am down almost 5 pounds in a month. (190 to 185ish)

YES! Now - this is the same 5 pounds I've been losing for months now, but it is down from my January 1 weigh in.
I am keeping the scale out for weigh-ins now, but I know that I can keep up the day in day out measuring and working out. And enjoy it!
Also, I found out I've been eating half as much chicken breasts for dinner as I thought I was. That was 100 cals I thought I was eating. I thought these lil' chicken breasts were 4 oz...

So, i put the scale away for the entire month of January. It felt great. I could focus more on how I felt, how my habits were developing, and quit worrying about how every little choice I made was going to affect the number on the scale.
I did real well at some points this month, but even without the scale, I can still run into a rash of bad days. BUT, I have pretty faithfully tracked those bad days. 'Fessing up to them rather than trying to avoid the numbers on the page.
