Hello all. It's been a bit since I've blogged... I've been busy. I am working out consistently and logging everything I eat. Working on cutting down on sodium because I was easily get 4000 mg a day! Yuck. Easy to cut out half by getting rid of a few culprits like Fat Free Feta cheese. :(

I'm a military wife and live away from home, but my Mom came to visit for the last 10 days. It's been nice because she's got tohave plenty of time with my daughter (10 months now) and keeping up with laundr...

Green, green, green

So, I've got THREE green checks in a row. They are beautiful. Things are just really clicking this week. My husband and I decided to simplify dinner. Chicken or fish, veggies, some rice. He eats most of the rice...

Another positive - Dwayne (the aforementioned husband) is keeping track of his food and asking me for help with figuring out his calorie intake. I'm so happy of him. We were both bit shocked that his rum and coke came in at 500 calories!

Grant Me Patience

So - I've been working out. I've been tracking my food. Now I just need to do it over and over and over and over and over again.

I have little problem staying within calorie limits. But I am trying hard not to be frustrated about my numbers right now. I fully enjoyed the holidays, so I really need to give it 2 more weeks before I can really "see" how I am doing.

I'm against weighing myself right now. Because an unsuccessful weigh in tends to make me want to throw in the towel...

Logging Even the Bad

In the last few days I have been getting much better at logging ALL my food. It's easy to log only on days that are worthy of a green check. But when I made decisions that would mean going over my calorie allowance, I stopped logging. Last night I had some "non-food" for dinner (you know, pure junk food). I selected it and ate it accordingly. I knew the cals in it. I logged it. Even the 2 shots of rum. I tend to shy away from logging my alcohol. :(

On the go again...

So last week, I was really FEELING fat. Most often I don't feel my size. I feel like me. But last week, I just felt like I was carrying a sandbag around my waist. It was discouraging.

Well, I actually woke up 5 days in a row to do some basic weight lifting and spend time on a treadmill. Within a few days, that feeling dissipated.
