Ok....I'm still in shock....today I actually finished the first day of the first week of the C25K program! I really did it! And it wasn't even THAT bad. I mean, my knees hurt a little bit. And I don't know if it's because of the extra weight that I'm still carrying around or if it's because I haven't jogged like that in YEARS or if it's because of arthritis or a combination of all three, but it's nothing that a little bit of Ibuprofen or Tylenol won't fix! Wow!! It feels soooo unbelievably good! What an accomplishment for me! Who would've thought I'd be jogging? Ha, what a deal! I'm sure it wasn't a pretty site for anyone who happened to see my during the "jogging" periods, but ya know what...I don't care. At least I'm out there tryin. And maybe it wasn't pretty, maybe it won't ever BE pretty, but I will still be proud of myself for having the energy and the confidence to do it. Who knows where I'm going with this whole jogging thing...time will tell if I actually like it enough to continue, or if I finish the program and decide that it's just not for me. The point is when I started my journey in March I could barely walk for 30 minutes without feeling exausted and out of breath and now look how far I've come in just a few short months! Yep, I just can't help it....I'm feeling pretty good about it!! =D
