245.8. Slow and sure it's coming off. And that's ok. It's not going up. That is SO consoling.
I had a panic attack yesterday in the doctor's office when they told me to get on the scale and then I had to calm myself down because I remembered that I'm losing not gaining and that sickening dread dissipated. I was actually ok with my weight, which NEVER happens because I realized that the scale was not going up. While I didn't turn cartwheels, I did however give an audible sigh of relief and smile. It really IS going to be ok.
Also I learned that 2 or 3 miles on the treadmill is totally NOT the same as walking outside. The last three days I've been walking between 2.5 and 4 miles in the evening. I can barely make it home. Whoever said that Kansas is flat as never been to North East Kansas. We've got hills, and they are steep and daunting. Gravel roads do a number on your feet and legs and while I'm waiting to go in the evening, the heat still sucks the energy right out of you. DH has been coming with me and it's so fun having him along. Bringing water along is an absolute must. It's so freaking hard. I can't believe how hard it is. I'm really, really looking forward to fall and winter.
So I made a decision to join a cross-fit group in October. They don't have any spaces available right now and October is the next time something will be open. It's $325 for the fist 3 months and that includes boot camp. I can't see paying for a gym membership and for cross-fit too so I'll drop the gym membership IF i get a space on cross fit. So while I'm still going to the gym I am going to work really hard so when I start cross fit I won't be so out of shape. I know that cross fit is very, very challenging. The first 3 months are the worst and I want to be prepared. Staying at the gym and working hard it the best preparation.

Slow and steady wins the race. Congratulations on doing a good job. Walking is the best exercise, and kudos for doing it in the heat! I went to a crossfit class my daughter was teaching and I couldn't do it.
