I haven't really been blogging much so I thought I would post some things about whats going on in my life:

First, I have had 3 episodes of Atrial Fibrillation in the past 6 months. The first one was what prompted me to jump back into CK in a big way. The docs are seriously considering doing a procedure called catheter ablation that could fix it permanently. They say I am a really good candidate for it because I'm young and have no other problems that would complicate this.

Its been kind of depressing dealing with this. My dad, who died at 53, always joked that his body "went biodegradable" when he turned 40. Well guess what year I turned this year! The serious drag about it is the fact that Carol and I were planning on taking SCUBA lessons this year and going to the Caymans in January to get our certification dives in. Because of the A-Fib the drs. put the kabosh on those plans. I am hoping we can pick it back up if the A-Fib goes away after the ablation or due to weight loss.

Still struggling with plantar fasciitis. Went to an orthopedic surgeon who gave me more stretches to do and I somewhat see a light at the end of the tunnel but I have kind of been there before.

In lighter news, just got done reading To Kill a Mockingbird, being the only person in America who wasnt assigned it in High School. That was a great read.

Weight-loss wise I hit my first plateau (hey it took 40 lbs, so I'm not complaining). I have been bouncing between 266 and 270 for about 3 weeks. I decided to shave 50 calories a day off the plan and to keep going in that direction every 2 weeks until the weight loss starts up again.

Anyway, thats me. how about you?

My father had several episodes of atrial fibrilation last year. He went through several treatments that didn't work, and his dr. said that the ablation was his last shot. It worked like a charm, and he hasn't had any trouble since. He is now on just one asprin a day. I know that eveyone is different, but I just wanted to share this success story. I hope everything goes well for you since I know how tough A-Fib can be on you and your family. Good luck!
