I had this bread and tomato soup on my honeymoon (or luna de mare since we were in italy) and learned how to make it from the cookbook of my favorite restaurant while there - Cibreo. If you are going to Florence, visiting cibreo is a must! Its one of those recipes that came from the old world that is

Here is the recipe (sort-of, its kind of a mish-mash!)
Serves 8 (large servings!)

10 tomatos peeled and seeded and pureed
1.5 lbs of stale italian bread

One More Intermediate target Down, Five To Go!

Just blew through my second intermediate weight loss goal in a month! And whats great is I don't feel deprived or that I'm starving myself or anything!

I hope this keeps going! I sometimes wonder when the other shoe will drop and I stall or something but I guess I will just keep going because its working!

I completely forgot that I have a meeting with a dietitian today who is going to use one of those machines to calculate exactly how many calories you burn (resting, without exercise).

However, you aren't supposed to eat for 4 hours before it and I completely forgot until it was too late to have anything! And I went to yoga on top of it all!

So i am basically starvin like marvin!

Plantar Fasciitis

Hey Runners out there! I have been seeing a podiatrist and a physical therapist for plantar fasciitis. I have stopped running and switched to the elliptical for a while until it gets better. Anyone out there have any recomendations on their favorite running replacements and other things like stretches they liked when they had this horrible condition?

The sorbet that we made (see my previous blog post) was very VERY gingery.

My recommendation would be to cut it back a bit. say 1.5 tbsp.
