Survived my Last Long Run Before the 1/2 Marathon

Twelve miles today... let me say it again... TWELVE MILES TODAY!!! Unreal what you can accomplish when you set your stubborn mind to a ridiculous goal :) Completed it in 2 hours 19 minutes. Slow and steady may not win the race, but it will finish the race!!! The last mile was just awful, I am convinced that even my ears were hurting... Silly Girl... You were supposed to ride tonight!

I was 3 1/2 miles in on my run tonight, feeling good, and keeping a pretty decent speed for a change when I realized that I was supposed to ride my bike tonight so I could save my joints for my once a week long run. I think I am going to target 12 miles in the morning. I wrote in my training schedule that I was going to do 7 this week and 12 next week, but I am thinking it will be better to start tapering down by next Friday. The run was good tonight.

Wii Can't Take It

So today was supposed to be a rest day. I couldn't stand to just sit, so I did my Wii Fit. I am not used to rest days, but part of this training includes them twice a week.

Eating was not as good as it should have been today. We did Mexican for one of my friend's birthday. If I could have just stayed out of the tortillas everything would be okay. I still managed to order something reasonable, and did not blow my overall calories for the day by keeping it small for dinner. Because of...

Day Two

The first day went well. Having to write everything did make me a more consious eater. Tonight is a four mile run night, so I can eat pretty well for dinner :)!
My water intake is better. Again, consiously drinking water. I also purchased a water holder for my long runs, that should help keep me more hydrated when I need it most.

Preparing for the Tallahassee Half Marathon

I registered for this site today. I am hoping that it will help me continue to reach my weight-loss and fitness goals. I started this journey on the day my twin girls were born. I weighed 266 pounds. I have lost down to 160, but have bounced back up to 167 during the holidays, and a stretch of boredom.
