Wednesday, Feb 24 2010 - Compliment???
View JOY300's food & exercise for this day
Good Morning to you all!
This Morning as I was getting dressed my husband walked behind me and hugged me which only happens when he wants ...ahem

......anyway, He told me I was looking really good this morning and that He was going to keep me home today because he didn't want me going out looking the way I did. He said I looked really GOOD!

I laughed and blushed a little. When continuing to do my hair he was watching a Mariah Carey video and I told him jokingly that I want him to look at me like he does - then I couldn't think of her name, I stared at the T.V. and I couldn't remember her name for the life of me. (I had a brain fart) Then He quickly replied " Mariah Carey!" I said "Yes" I thought his reponse was very quick.
It's not that I want to look like her because, God knows if that will ever happen but I do want to look good for my hubby and myself. The compliment he paid me was the best but then was ruined by his quick response after I was speaking. Am I being to sensitive? I know my husband loves me but I would loved to be looked at and lusted after too. I know, you must say "WHAT A BIG BABY" I guess I am. I am not a person that has low-self esteem or a distorted vison of herself, but I want that LOOK.

You know the LOOK ladies.
If I miss the gym I will be doing my ZUMBA dvd, but I really want to do my new step combo class tonight. So I am going to try really hard to get there.
Planned exercise:
Zumba DVD / Step Combo class- 60 minutes
Strength training- 10 minutes

I think I may have been a little sensitive.
;)

He did in fact give me and compliment and you're right about the attention span.
Sometimes I wish I had 3 to 4 hours of exercise. With Teaching, Meetings, My son's activities and my husbands..whew I am pooped. I am lucky to get 1 hour in 5 days a week.
Thanks Sheetal, you are always so encouraging!

Maybe you're a little sensitive, maybe you aren't. Who doesn't want to be drooled after like a celebrity? I would focus on the good - what a cute compliment he gave you! And remember, men have very short attention spans.
You don't have 3+ hours a day to spend on your body (maybe you do, who knows). But you probably don't have the $$$$ to access trainers, nutritionists, personal chefs, etc.
Be proud of your accomplishments, you do look good. Can definitely notice it in your face!
