Tuesday, Apr 13 2010 - Falling for Spinning class......

I was so excited yesterday for my exercise routine. I wasn't feeling very well but I knew I had to get my exercise in before my trip. So as I entered the gym I saw people waiting for the next class to begin in the aerobic room. I asked a lady what class was it, and she told me it was spinning class. I have never done a spinning class. I did cycling in the fitness room but never in a class form. I went in and the people in the class were so helpful with directing me to an area to get my bike and helped me get situated. I was in class and feeling the burn completely!! UP!!! DOWN!!! SIT!!! FULL TURN!! QUARTER TURN!!! HALF TURN!!! RELEASE!!! I felt I was in a dog training session. I had a blast, and the people were so nice and the instructor talked the entire time about funny things. (How she managed to talk and not be out of breath was beyond me.) At the end of class, we were beginning to stretch when I could feel my legs start to shake. I had a great work out and I felt it indeed! I was feeling pretty good. I was soaked in sweat and a little stinky.

I had cycled for 60 minutes and I had never accomplished that before. It felt great! I leaned over to pick up my bike and the bike bent all the way forward and fell on top of ME. I was so embarrassed! I have a huge knot on my knee from where the bike mostly fell and just feeling a bit sore. The instructor told me that I fell gracefully. lol how do you fall gracefully? I felt the ground shake when I hit it. There is nothing graceful about that. Hahahahahaha.
Things to accomplish before I leave to MO.
Drink 10-12 cups of water per day
Eat 5/6 servings of veggies a day
Stay under my alloted fats and sodium each day
Get a green check
Loose 2 pounds to reach my April 20th goal (204)
2 protein shakes per day
Exercise 60 minutes a day
weigh myself Wednesday, Friday and Monday
Write down everything I eat
Laundry 2 loads Tuesday and Saturday
Pack suitcases (3)

Sounds like a great workout! I've never done a spin class before either. If I ever join a gym again, I definitely want to try it out.
