If you own a treadmill remember the warning on the paper work about NOT walking on it barefoot? I always remembered it yet I did it any way. :bang: I thought it was in case of getting your toe nicked in the belt or some such thing. I found you can also get one one hell of a painful and large blister on the bottom of your left foot! My Lord in Heaven it huuurrrrrts. I wasn't too bad a day or so after just sore. On Saturday morning I did my three mile walk. Upon getting out of my car after the drive home I could barely stand. I would kick myself in the behind but it would just hurt my foot more. Still tender today. I will not be walking to play it safe. So good people never, NEVER walk on your treadmill or eliptical barefoot. :nono5:

I am heading to the store and limp my way through for a few groceries. Then home to rest my foot before getting ready for the new members dinner at our church. Guess I'll be wearing my flat dress shoes for this event.

On the food side of things I do great for breakfast and lunch. I am still not so great at dinner time. I guess my goal for this week will be to get a handle on dinner time. Thats my biggest hurdle so far. I'll get there God willing that the sun shines and the creek don't rise. lol

Have a wonderful Sunday! Peace be with you!

So Sorry to hear about the blister Julie. I hope it heals really soon. Setbacks can be such a downfall - especially when starting out. Hang in there dear lady and be happy.

I always have trouble at dinnertime because I tend to be so hungry by then, even if I've been careful to spread out my meals/snacks earlier in the day.

Sorry about the blister! As someone who blisters easily, I sympathize.

I love your suggestion of a pair of progressives that can be worn with contacts and darken in sunlight! I am testing contacts right now to see if I can wear them after having a huge Lasik correction 13 years ago (my eyes started to get more nearsighted again 3 years ago, but I got 10 years at 20/25 after having been a -10.5). I think they won't be a good solution for me b/c the right eye won't stay in focus so far, but I was hoping to be able to wear them for exercise (hiking, especially). If I can wear them sometimes, even if not for extended periods, I will explore that solution.
