View KERILARNED's food & exercise for this day

This week has been a turning point. I had to overcome some major obstacles to keep on track and get to the gym like I really wanted to. Little lady peed her pants to show me who is in charge and because she was so excited to go to the gym, I couldn't let her go. Instead little man and I could play dance dance revolution while she had to watch and wasn't allowed to play. The next evening my hubby said I could go to gym to catch Zumba. I didn't know you needed a number to get into the class. I was there 30 min early and couldn't get into the class. I was so upset I cried. I had finally made it to the gym, and I couldn't go in my class. And it was so crowded, I wasn't willing to stand in line to run on a treadmill, which I hate to do on a normal day!!

WE planned to make it to the gym, extra early to get a stinking number and I made it to the class. I went to this class Zumba at my gym. It was a great class. Its a mix of belly dancing, salsa, rumba, hip hop, house moves all in one class. I burned 600 calories in one class. I felt so good after that class. Great cardio!

At the end of last week, I went through all my old Weight Watchers recipes, I have never tried and I decided to make 5 new recipes this week. I'm never disappointed at the healthy recipes I find from them or cooking light. They are full of flavor, fiber and so easy and quick to make!

Today I started a new approach to preparing my food. I plated my dinner as if from a fine restaurant (I'll try to upload a photo of it..I need to shrink it). My dinner was only 300 calories. Delicious baked chicken with Thai peanut sauce on top of thin sliced cucumbers with a side of brown rice with scallions. It was delicious and I think I enjoyed that not so fancy meal more, simply because it looked like it had been so carefully prepared. (That hardly makes sense since I am the one who cooked it and plated it, but I was full after eating this reasonably portioned meal.)

The other little change I made this week...finally got my tootsie pops to have instead of another high calorie sweet. I always need something sweet after dinner...this is a low calorie alternative I enjoy thoroughly!!!

Looking forward to smaller clothes........
