View KERILARNED's food & exercise for this day

So I've been getting really aggravated because I've gone through the last couple of weeks really focusing on my calorie target and exercising, all without seeing the scale move one bit. I realized that I quite possibly was not eating enough calories. I'm well aware that not having enough calories is completely counter productive. But, I lost weight and maintained on WW for years , so I never really knew how many calories I was suppose to eat. So starting yesterday, I added calories (by setting my calorie target to the suggested amount that CK sets for you). I'll give it a week or two and see how it works out.

We went to the Dodger game today. (If my hubby was writing, he would say it was the Tigers game, but seeing as I was born and raised in CA, it was a Dodger game). I had not one concession at a baseball game, and for some strange reason, neither did my husband! I love that they allow you to bring in outside food. Honestly, it makes it so much nicer to be allowed to bring in food!!! It means I don't have to starve, or break the bank to enjoy a good game. I brought celery sticks with peanut butter, edamame and apples. All of which were shared with the kiddos.

If I can make it through a game with people eating yummy smelling things all around me, I should be able to make it through anything.

I'm settling into my workout routines. Mapping out my goals for the week ahead of time. This week I'm aiming for 5 60min workouts. (I'm trying to work with the minimum suggestion for a healthy lifestyle and work my way up!!) I'll post my plan tomorrow.

Todays victory: Stayed within CT and didn't give in to concession food.

I must have been up really late last night writing. I didn't realize it was already Sunday when I wrote the above.
Well, I woke up this morning determined to take advantage of my husband being home and the kids napping. Usually on Sunday afternoons, after breakfast with the family, when I take advantage of nap time, its because I'm napping too. Not today. Inspired by some of the blogs I read last night and over the course of the last week, I strapped on the ipod and did my first C25K run. It went by so fast! Granted, it kicked my tail, because even a stroll in my neighborhood requires me to go up and down steep hills no matter which direction I go...so regardless of my mood, if I'm hitting my neighborhood for exercise, I'm burning some good calories. Later this evening (when the kids are in bed for the night, I'll do some weight training) Go me! Its a good start to the week.:thumbu2:

As extra motivation:$ I'm posting a picture of me. My before picture, that I hope to soon replace with a great after picture. Its embarrassing to post this... for no reason other than I swore I would never be here again after college. I weighed this much in college and lost 50lbs and maintained it for 8 years. Then I had twins. I lost all the pregnancy weight right away. (I didn't look the same though, which was hard on me)...so I call it my "baby weight" but its not pregnancy weight...its the weight of having to take of two little ones at the same time and find the time to balance eating and exercise. They will be 3 in October......and I am determined to be at my wedding weight by our 6th anniversary in November. I keep my wedding photo on the fridge to inspire me. I should probably keep this one on the fridge too! To keep me out of it unless I'm hungry. :laugh5:

Thanks for the encouragement Cara! I'm enjoying this process. I'd been doing WW so long, it was time for a change. I can't go on autopilot if I am doing something new.
