Today I saw the nutritionist at the hospital again. I'm down seven pounds since she saw me last month and I think she was pleased. I did however not like her desire to get me off whole milk and egg yolks. I just reintroduced these wonderful foods into my diet and I am still losing weight. I realize that the saturated fat and cholesterol are not great, but will one egg yolk and a cup of whole milk really make that much of a difference?
This has been the hardest time I have ever had losing weight (I can only think it's because of the menopause.) and being able to fit a yummy breakfast sandwich and delicious iced coffee into my diet while still losing makes me feel a bit better about it.
Oh well, all in all I am pleased with my progress. At this pace (8 pounds per month) I will reach my interim goal, 340 pounds, by sometime in September. Then I'll be ready for my surgery! Yippee!
