Well here it is, day four of my new plan, and I'm feeling pretty much "the same." I'm not sure why I expect to start shrinking immediately, it sounds fair doesn't it? Couldn't we just wake up each morning and see another .2 lbs, vanish from our bodies? A little off our hips, a little off our chin, er... chins, or a little off a big fat neck with a face on it (as in my case). I don't have any chins. If you look at my profile it's a neck with a nose on it. Anyway, I will try to be patient, and not weigh everyday. After all I didn't gain it all in a day (I know that's what you're all thinking, so I'll say it for you).

Laurabelle,
you're going to really be amazed at how becoming disciplined at watching your food intake produces results! I've only been doing this since March 5 and I'm already down 3 pounds. Nothing else has worked for me. I've tried Weight Watchers, Atkins, the Zone, SouthBeach...all of them. I've realized since logging everything I eat that I must have been taking in too many calories a day and that was why I wasn't losing. Now that I'm only allowed 1500 a day, I'm amazed at how quickly you can use up that amount of calories so I am learning to make wiser choices. I am sure I won't always make wise choices, but knowing that I'm being held accountable by fellow CKer's, it will definitely help. I haven't told any of my family that I'm trying to lose so all of my support is going to come from friends like you. I'll root you on as you become familiar with the program and begin to see progress. Don't be a slave to the scale. Just do what you are supposed to do and weigh once a week to check your progress. If you need help, I'm here!
