View LEIDEN's food & exercise for this day

The wedding reception was a disaster for eating. The food was amazing, the desert was incredible, and the bar was open. The boys pretty much hit up the bar immediately and started pounding back drinks. I can't even log how much I drank because I, honestly, don't remember.

By the time food was served I was pretty intoxicated and ate myself stupid. I just kept eating, and eating, and eating - not even thinking about anything. I think I've logged my food at least mildly accurately, probably off by a hundred or two somewhere - but it's close.

I felt pretty bad about it yesterday, but instead of blogging and crying about it - I took a day to think about it and put it into perspective. It was the worst day I've had in a long time, this whole month has been pretty mediocre for eating in general, but what am I going to do? Sit here and be upset? No.

I'm just going to get back on track. I haven't been too far off base, just a couple of not so good days. No big deal, move on and keep doing what I've been doing for the past 17 months. I didn't get where I am by sucking at watching my food intake, so why should that be deterred now?

I'm nearly at my goal weight, I'm expecting to be around 175 or less by the time I goto the doctor this week (thursday I believe). Now is where I start paying close attention to things to make sure I optimize my body to make sure the weight is accurate. Limit the sodium, exercise regularly, etc, etc. I know what to do and how to do it, I just need to keep doing it.

So overall - I had a great time at the reception, and I'm not going to let that be squandered by a day of bad eating. Having a good time and being with people I haven't seen in years trumps one day of bad decisions.

Oh yeah, the Phillies are awesome. I have a feeling it's going to be a Yankees/Phillies World Series, which is scary for me being a Phils fan. But oh how sweet it would be to beat out the Bombers in the series.

I have a date on Tuesday as well. Going to go see "Where The Wild Things Are." I love the book, and the movie has praise from the author so hopefully it lives up to my expectations. If not, at least a girl went with me :cool6:

Ah, the Phillies annihilated my Rockies in 4 games! I would root for them over the Yankees, though. Your reevaluation of your bad day seems sensible, & gives you a good perspective for moving forward & getting back on track. Wild Things is next on my movie list!
