Thursday, Jul 5 2007 - Mt. Dew Conquered
View LENSCHER's food & exercise for this day
OMGoodness. I have done fairly well in the last two weeks with reducing my Mt. Dew intake. Yesterday was the day. I had a 20 ounce in the morning. By 11 a.m., I was sick to my stomach and having GI issues. I was in the bathroom for like 15 minutes. Yuck. Sorry for the gross sharing...but the good news is that that event conquered the dew addiction. I never want to feel that way again.
I will still occasionally mix diet and regular soda and taper myself off of it.
But to have my body tell me so loudly that it did not want Mt. Dew anymore was a gross, yet awesome happening.
Thanks,
Elly

Thanks for the note. I can't stand the diet mt. dew.
We'll just do Pepsi + diet pepsi or Coke + diet coke in moderation.
But as for mt. dew. I'm cured :-)

Mt. Dew seems to be the drug of choice for many of my co-workers. I knew one individual that drank so much, he had cases of old bottles under his desk! Makes you wonder what they put in it....
Yeah, sometimes it seems to take a negative experience to 'cure' you of having to have your comfort food/drink of choice. I hope you well remember what this day felt like to you. Have you ever tried Diet Mt. Dew? I drink Diet Coke when I'm in need of a caffeine/carbonation fix.
Good luck on the challenges to come!
