Mt. Dew Conquered

OMGoodness. I have done fairly well in the last two weeks with reducing my Mt. Dew intake. Yesterday was the day. I had a 20 ounce in the morning. By 11 a.m., I was sick to my stomach and having GI issues. I was in the bathroom for like 15 minutes. Yuck. Sorry for the gross sharing...but the good news is that that event conquered the dew addiction. I never want to feel that way again.

I will still occasionally mix diet and regular soda and taper myself off of it.
But to have my body tell...

I'm feeling pretty good. Having less shin pain and trying to get run walking in every day. I just hope that I'm ready for the half marathon in October.

I just walked/ran the treadmill here at work. I run a minute then walk a minute. My run is at 4.3 mph and my walk is at 3.7 mph. But, I think that I did well. There was an ultra fit 50 something male in there on the stair stepper, and he got done and hung around thinking that I would be off (I think he wanted the treadmill) but I didn't quit. Then I did one quick circuit of weights. Quads, Triceps and Lats.

We only have 2 treadmills at work, so I always like to get the "good" one....

So my hubby asked me three times this week does that fall in your calorie counting...
And, you know I want you to look good, but sugar is ruining your face!!!
Grr...its those types of comments that make my food mood kick in and want to pig out...

Today my waist made a momentary appearance. I put on a slightly fitting shirt...it didn't look half bad.
My stomach was not as big as my chest, and there was a slight curvature where my waist should be...is the waist flirting with me? Will it stick around. Tune in for more soon...
