I found the courage to weigh in this morning after hubs nagged me about it last night. I was delightfully stunned to find I lost weight. I'm down 14 pounds from my beginning weight. Now I'm wondering if all that bad stuff I ate last week actually served to jump-start my metabolism or something. Whatever the reason, I'm happy about losing a couple more pounds. I was feeling very down and discouraged, especially after I found some old charts from previous attempts to lose weight. I'm tossing those out since they scream failure at me and I really don't need that now. I'm thinking about buying a new outfit one size too small to encourage me to keep going. Then I'll already have a built in reward that isn't related to food when I can wear it. I'm feeling motivated now and I really hope this continues.
