LITA's CalorieKing blog

Thursday, Jun 28 2012 - Back on track after all

View LITA's food & exercise for this day

Well it seems I took about a week and a half off from my journey during the month of June but I am truely back on track again. I've been working hard this week and staying on target with my calories. Next week might be harder - we'll see. I'm on vacation but we aren't going anywhere so the battle will be to avoid becoming a couch potato. We've been talking about cleaning up the "put it there and close the door room." It used to be my craft room, but I quit crafting when the arthritis/bursitis in my hands got bad. So it became a room to put stuff in - all kinds of stuff. I get some things in bulk - paper towels, toilet paper, pee pads for the dogs, etc. and we put them in there. The fans that weren't in use over the winter and the clothes I outgrew that might actually fit now are in there somewhere. So it would be a great project to start on Saturday and work on through the week. We also talked about working on the back yard. We need some new grass for all those bald spots where it died out and I would really like to get the grill out of the garage and set up for the hottest part of summer. It would be really nice to have a covered, bench swing to sit and read on when it's just too hot in the house and too hot to do anything physical, but we've got to get the yard in shape first. Some flowers would be nice. Yes, if I can just make myself get up and do those things instead of sitting in front of the TV or computer, it will be a good stay-cay.

Thanks, Lita. I was wondering if it was just me. Great ideas for when I'm feeling tired and munchie.

The room cleaning and yard work sound like great projects, maybe hard to get going on but really satisfying by the time you get done. Good luck! -Shelly
