Milestones

Friday, June 29th 2012

When making the journey from couch potato of the year to physically fit there are many milestones along the way - the first 5 or 10 pounds, that first reduction in clothing size, etc. But there are milestones we reach that we never thought about when starting out. Sure I listed in my diary that I wanted to be able to lift my ankle up on my knee to tie my shoes without having to use my other hand to lift it over my knee and I said I wanted to be able to tie my shoes without feeling out of breat...

Back on track after all

Thursday, June 28th 2012

Well it seems I took about a week and a half off from my journey during the month of June but I am truely back on track again. I've been working hard this week and staying on target with my calories. Monday, June 18th 2012

For a few years I've been having lunch or dinner with my son and his family every week. He was a stay-at-home dad we had lunch mid week. After he joined the ranks of the employed, his "weekend" was Wednesday and Thursday so we would have dinner every Wednesday or Thursday. His wife missed having him at church with her and I'm sure he missed going to church as well. Anyway, his request for a Monday through Friday shift was finally approved, but the hours are 11 am - 8 pm, so no more we...
