To those people who have responded to my blogs with positive comments “THANK YOU”; I don’t yet know how to contact you back and let you know how much your support means to me.

However, I feel I’ve let them and myself down. My last blog I watched the scale slid up and promised myself that I was still making progress and not to give up. Then what did I do? I gave up.

So here we go again, promise number 365,489,527,689 “Never Give Up”, “No Negative Thoughts” and of course “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again”.

I think my motivation for this week will come from an entry on the Forum of “need a boost… please” (motivation and moving forward), a comment made by CUCHULAINN 1:39PM PST, Feb 4th 2009.

“When all else fails, I just fake it. The whole fake-it-til-you-make-it thing is cliché for a reason. It works. Hate it, grumble about it, whatever, but it will become a part of you again, and that's when you've made it.”

Fake it? Heck, I’ve been doing that my whole life. So for this week, I am super-duper. I get up early before work to exercise, I go the gym at lunch for a quick pick me up. I only put nutritional things into my body and I eat regular pre-planed meals/snacks. I’m not hungry in between meals and I’m moving around keeping busy instead of flopping on the couch. Heck, couch? What couch? I don’t have no stinking couch!!

The only option that is NOT an option is giving up -- good for you for hanging in there. Keep doing what you can while searching for the motivation you need. You never know where you will find it. Motivation that worked before may no longer work and sometimes motivation that didn't work, will work now. An idea I heard lately helped me find reason to keep on keeping on... it was re: giving up. Someone said - Tomorrow is a new day, not to start again, but to do better than you did today. If you have a bad day as a parent or in a relationship, you don't stop being a parent or quit the relationship. Eating healthy and getting fit is the same. Anyway.... good luck finding the motivation you need and thanks for stopping by my blog with encouraging words.

Not so deep down I know I agree with you about swimming in the rain. Truth is I would have loved it! But I was so laid back this weekend and the idea of going out in the rain to get to the pool.... I thought I had a good excuse going. We have a 25-yard lap pool here in the community and I'm looking forward to the heat coming on soon. I would love to swim at night!!!

Today is a new day! That's the beauty of it all. We all fail and give up and struggle at times, but each day we are alive is a brand new day to start over. :) And you can do this and you will! You got this! :thumbu2:
