My new motto:

“I think motivation is highly over rated. when we keep waiting for it to propel us forward, we often don't make much progress. Instead, create a few (1-3) very specific and tangible goals that lead to permanent life changes. And then continuously add another goal as the first ones become second nature.” LILYHIKER - Guru - 5:16AM PST, Feb 11th 2009 Motivation forum.

1: exercise first thing in the morning Monday through Friday
2: no T.V. between 5 and 8 pm (prime snacking time)
3: continue with preplanned meals.

The whole fake-it-till-you-make-it (CUCHULAINN 1:39PM PST, Feb 4th 2009 Motivation forum) has helped. I didn’t make it to super-duper as I had hoped; however, I did get out and move. The calorie counting and healthy eating bombed. I love food. All food. Healthy food, spicy food, sweets, quick to eats, restaurant, left overs, frozen… all of it. It seems that the only time I don’t eat is when I’m depressed. Then the only thing that gets me out of my funk is, you guessed it, food.

I honestly feel that my mental status has to have a high blood sugar level in order to keep happy. Well, if I can’t give up my sugar high, then I’ll just have to exercise more. At least I’ll have good muscle tone!

Thanks for you support on my blog!! I am not a fast runner (read that REALLY slow) so I have almost just given up so many times, it sux being last all the time but it is all about just getting up and doing it. Sounds like you need to replace that sugar high with exercise endorphines!!
