It's more than just about the weight...

The greatest thing in the world is to know how to be one's own self - Montaigne

I started this journey because I wanted to lose weight. I wanted to be proud of who I am; but I'm learning that takes so much more than losing weight and being healthy.

A recent Forum touched on how annoying it is when your working out and someone laughs at you (HALFTHEMAN). My first response was self-preservation. It hurts to be laughed at, I would want to get away and/or avoid the person/situation in t...

Pity Party is over

Monday, March 9th 2009

Pity Party is now official over. I'm moving -on! :thumbu2:

p.s. I loaded my before and after pictures. Check out the before! I wanted that posted so that anyone who thinks I don't understand what their going through can see it. How do I balance it all out, without giving up the things I love?

Thursday, March 5th 2009

Not that i want to cut back on my cardio, I just want to add more weight/strength training and stretching/yoga. I had a good balance at one time, but it seems when the walls of time start closing in, strength training and stretching are the first to get cut. I need to figure out a way to balance those elements in my life, without cutting cardio.
 I love card...
