How do I balance it all out, without giving up the things I love?

Cardio, Cardio, Cardio. I love Cardio. Which goes against my favorite healthy lifestyle rule "Moderation in all things". Not that i want to cut back on my cardio, I just want to add more weight/strength training and stretching/yoga. I had a good balance at one time, but it seems when the walls of time start closing in, strength training and stretching are the first to get cut. I need to figure out a way to balance those elements in my life, without cutting cardio.

CK people make the difference

What I love best about CK is all the people. Everyone here is so different. Different personalities, different background, different values and/or beliefs, different likes and dislikes. Yet here we are united for one purpose, to lose weight through support, commitment and even failure, learning from our mistakes and the mistakes of others, but never giving up.

1200 calories

1200 calories. 1200 calories a day keeps me healthy. Yes, i still have a rumbley tummy. Yes, I still crave seconds or a dessert after each meal. Yes, I have to stop eating before the comfortable, contented "stuffed" feeling arrives; but, 1200 calories keeps me fed for three meals and a snack. 1200 calories keeps me from getting dizzy or feeling listless, keeps my immune system ticking so i can fight off sickness or disease. 1200 calories keeps me energized. 1200 calories is all...

I love it when I can shake the blues. I feel invincible, like I can conquer anything. I just want to spread that feeling to all those who need it, but i don't know the magic words, i don't know the magic spell. So I'll just smile and wish those i meet a nice day, and mean it.

Today was a good day. I stuck to my calories and my exercise commitment. I went to the gym at lunch to work on strength training using the weight machines. I got about 5 min before i chickened out. i don't know what i'm doing. i felt like i just looked stupid, reading the little demo pictures on the machine.

I've made a commitment for strength training on tuesdays and thursdays. i've promised myself to at least put on my workout clothes and make an attempt. if after 10 min i still fe...
