For the past two mornings, I have been woken up at 5am by scratching and thrashing in the wall directly behind my bed, followed by scurrying and more scratching in the attic. My best guess is rats, but we'll see. The ratbusters came out today and plugged up all of the possible entry (and exit) points and set traps. Ewwwwwwwww! To top it all off, I haven't been able to get back to sleep because our neighbors got a new rooster that starts crowing at the crack of dawn. Because that's what roosters do. Seriously, why do they need a rooster? They are totally useless. They're not trying to breed chickens, and they're not gonna eat it. What gives people? Just because you can have a rooster around here doesn't mean you should.

I have been feeling pretty good pregnancy wise. Despite the lack of sleep, my nausea has been mild. Only 14 more days until the midterm u/s!. I am pretty excited. We are both kind of hoping for another girl, even though we already have two. I think it's just what we're already used to, and we already have al of the clothes and accesories. I also REALLY love our girl name, Penelope. When I told my mom what our girl name was, she asked if I was kidding and then said, "I don't like that name." So, Penelope it is, girl or boy. Moms can be such a sometimes.

The scale is creeping back up, closer and closer to the 170 mark. I really don't like that, but I have to keep telling myself that it's a good thing; it means that my baby is growing. Unfortunately, so are my thighs and my butt.

Things seem to have calmed down with my husband at work. He is noticeably more relaxed. I feel so guilty because he has had to pick up so much slack for me with this pregnancy, and he has just acted like it's no problem at all (even though I know it is). Nobody likes to work all day and then come home and completely take on the kids, dinner, the laundry, dishes, and still have work to do at home. I guess that is what most single parents are up against. It's a tough position to be in. He is a sweetheart.
