View MAMAMARTINEZ's food & exercise for this day
Yikes! Really bad heartburn here! For about 4 or 5 days now it's been so bad that it has been uncomfortable to even swallow. My husband finally peer pressured me into taking Maalox at regular intervals until it calms down. I hate taking antiacids. They just make me want to throw up. It's starting to ease up, but I am exhausted because it's been keeping me up at night. OK, I can make it. Just 10 weeks until this baby is out!

10 weeks! I wanna see a belly pic.
=D towards the end I was going through a bottle of tums a week, they have a "smoothie" tablet and I justified it with all the extra calcium I was getting. heartburn was the roughest part of my pregnancy.

oh, darlin'! Do I feel your pain. It started for me at about six weeks. I started with Zantac 75 twice a day. Moved to 150 twice a day (sometimes three!). Doc said, don't do that, take Zantac 300 twice a day. STILL HEART BURN! So now, I take omezaprole, one capsule a day, (it's the genetic equivalent to something, maybe prilosec??) and I have not had heart burn since. Talk to your doc. The burning in your esophagus is not good for you. Plus, you should not have to suffer with that!!
:( I CANNOT (I repeat CANNOT take Maalox). I just cannot do it. The antacids leave such a horrible taste in my mouth that it's debatable which is worse: the burning or the taste of the exhaust pipe on the bottom of city bus.
:) Feel better babe! Let me know how you make out with the doc...

Oh my, I didn't even realize you're pregnant because I just wandered over yesterday - good luck getting through the last ten weeks, it will so be worth it!
