View MAMAMARTINEZ's food & exercise for this day

So, Charlie puked all over my robe this morning. My husband took it from me and threw it in the washer with a load of towels. My cell phone was in the pocket. Good times.

Pop Quiz Hot Shot:

Stephanie ate the following today:

a) McDonald's
b) Three oatmeal chocolate chip cookies
c) chocolate chips straight out of the bag
d) all of the above

If you chose d) all of the above, you have correctly guessed just how sad my eating habits have become. My plan all along has been to start logging again as of next Monday. Something tells me I should start sooner.

Little Man is just so cute. He is playing in his "gym" right now and watching his dad play Mario Kart. He gave me a four hour block of sleep last night, after which he was a mess and was waking up every 45-90 minutes. I'll take the 4 hours though. I just need to remember that this too shall pass. This is my last baby so I need to find joy even in those things that are inherently unenjoyable, like the torturous sleep deprivation inflicted by newborns on their parents. Heck, who am I kidding with "parents?" How about on their MOTHERS! Actually, my husband has been great about taking over when I hit the wall, which is usually around 4am. Since I haven't started pumping though, he can only take over after the little boob drainer has been fed. By me. I am hoping that since the baby has been up and active for a little over an hour now, he'll give me another good 4 hour block tonight. Thankfully, the girls have been sleeping great, so at least there's no tag team action going on here.

Ok, that's it for now. I need to go cheer hubby on at Mario Kart. It makes him feel loved. :laugh5:

Sorry about the cell!!! As for the eating habits, you need to give yourself a break. Sleep deprivation causes us to just grab what's easy. You'll get back to healthier eating in a few more weeks I'm sure. I'm giving myself until March 1st!

You have such a lovely positive spin on your sleep right now. That is so good :) I hope that your other little ones are able to help out soon too. I know what you mean about that "parents" thing. My ex didn't lift a finger at bedtime...neither did any other man/husband/father that I know of :laugh5:

ooh, sorry to hear about the phone. if you haven't yet, you could take the battery out and let it dry in a warm-ish place for at least 48 hours. I've heard even after a wash cycle they might come back to life that way.

You are so right that we shoulder a lot of the responsibility ourselves -- especially with newborns. I was just saying to my best friend (who just had her 2nd) that the reason we never went beyond two was that with two at least we weren't outnumbered! Boob drainer...love it. :laugh5:

Oh, Stephanie, I so get it! I'll be right there with you trying to navigate "3" soon too. Love your attitude on enjoying your last... and that you know that this shall end. Hang in there and sleep whenever you can... you gotta keep the mama in top form! (or at least funtional :) ).
