P.S. - Does anyone have any suggestions for logging licking the beaters after making buttercrem frosting? :nono1::$

If you look at my food diary today, it appears as though I've gone on some sort of psychotic breakfast binge. The truth is, I went to MOPS. It is a meeting for mothers with kids under 5, and it consists of a potluck breakfast, time to visit with other women, and a guest speaker. Oh, and there is childcare for your kids, so you get a break for 2 1/2 hours. So, imagine a buffet table with about 100,000 calories worth of breakfast on it: eggy and cheesy goodness, followed by a mountain of baked goods and some fruit. Most of it is homemade as well, which means that calorie counting is an estimation at best. So, I tried to make good choices, keep track of everything that I ate, and then try to find comparable items in the food diary. Wow, at least I tried. I guess this week is more about getting into the habit of logging than actual calorie tracking.

I totally had a dirty thought when I saw suggestions for logging licking the beaters on the blog page :devious: :o The breakfast sounds delicious and I'm sure the little man sucked most of the calories right out of you anyway ;)

Sounds wonderful! Great job being aware of what you were getting into and attempting to log! Just that is a huge statement of commitment on your part!

You got to love those mom's mornings out! What makes me LMAO is that usually there is a table FULL of food, with a bunch of women refusing to eat it. Until, that is, one brave soul say "Screw it. . ." and marches up, grabs a plate and dares to eat what she wants in front of others. Inevitably, a small army of followers line up right beside her, filling their plates too.

I'm usually the one digging in!

Good job trying to log it all in. I've had similar days and have also tried to simply approximate/ and swap in similar items/ calorie range. You are right about the habit. Even if you came up with the wrong total, you were paying attention to what you were eating! :thumbu2:
