View MAMAMARTINEZ's food & exercise for this day

I think my head has stopped spinning now! Wow. What a busy week. It started last Friday night and didn't stop all week. March is going to be a super busy month as well.

I fell off the logging wagon :nono1: . I plan to get back on Monday. I have forgiven myself and am looking forward to starting fresh.

I had my 6-week post-partum checkup yesterday. The weight is down 3 lbs. since I last weighed, so that makes me happy. I am having some issues with my healing though. I can only imagine that it's because I haven't had a chance to rest sufficiently. It looks lik it will be another couple of weeks before I am back to fighting form. My doc says I can resume all of my normal activity once I feel up to it, but I so do not feel up to it yet.

I did have an epiphany in the shower the other day. It's kind of a no-brainer, but it ocurred to be as a brand new thought. There is a difference between having a craving and being hungry. Just because I crave something, it does not mean that I am actually hungry. I don't know why I never really conciously put that together before, but there it is.

The little man is beginning to sleep a little better. This three kids thing would be a piece of cake if it were not for the sleep deprivation. I got spoiled by Fiona. She was such a good sleeper from the very beginning. Sleep makes all the difference. :yawn2:

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. :heart2:

Sorry about the lack of sleep. It does make a huge difference. And good job forgiving yourself and looking forward to getting back to logging; that has always been so hard for me.

Congrats on the 3 lb loss!!! Definitely take it easy for your recovery. After my first I thought I'd never get all the way better, but #2 was much better. Guess they are each different! I'm impressed that your journey started so soon and that you have such a great attitude about going forward! Good luck in the sleep department!!!!!

You are spot on about the cravings. However, I also know it is very harmful to try and avoid a craving and it is much better to indulge in it (in moderation) -- I tend to try and eat around it, and that just ends up as a disaster! I bet you are right about the whole rest thing, too. Whooo hoo for being down 3 lbs!!

 on the 3 lbs. That's quite an accomplishment--especially seeing you are feeling so tired and have zero time for yourself. Great work, Mama!

Good epiphany :thumbu2: There's a difference between 'knowing' something and actually understanding it and accepting it and putting it into practice - sounds like the epiphany is going to help you with that. Congrats on the 3 lbs so far - that's nothing to sneeze at! Now try to get some sleep...
