Sunday, Jun 10 2007 - Me On a Diet
View MARCYINCNY1's food & exercise for this day
As I was RICE-ing my foot yesterday I did something that may prove to be a big step (irony noted) in my diet & exercise program: I finally opened my friend's copy of "You on a Diet".
One point among the many I've picked up from the book:
"Studies show that people who eat the same meal for at least one meal a day lose more weight than those who have more variety."
"By decreasing the variety of foods eaten throughout the day, you'll decrease the chance for the hedonistic rampages that can be so dangerous."
I was thinking I should be striving for more variety so I'm happy to have that settled.

Knowing that should make it easier for me to plan out the meals and buy the same thing at the grocery store. Thanks for the info.

I read that too. Isn't that something? I eat the same few meals for breakfast every morning, and am happiest when I can eat the same old dinners. It's lunch at the office that often puts a crimp in my plan. I try to pack it every day, but sometimes I just don't plan well enough. You know, I had a pml from someone that was interested in starting a discussion group on the You On A Diet Book. But I've never heard back from her.
How's the foot today?
