How to plan a week that leads up to beignets and includes Chipotle Mexican Grill, that's my challenge.

Next weekend is the Syracuse Jazz Fest and for the past several years one of the vendors has served remarkably good beignets, one of my absolute favorite treats. Saturday we're going over for Toots Theilemans, Mose Allison and, be still my heart, another chance to see the incomparable Dave Brubeck.

I can't find beignets listed anywhere so I'm going to use the info for one glazed donut at 34 grams.

Somehow Chipotle Mexican Grill has made gobs of money without selling one tortilla chip in central New York so I will be returning from Ohio next week, as I usually do, with a bag of Mexican take-away (far, far away); at least everything on the menu is listed by CK so I know how to count it.

There's also the matter of eating away from home for a couple of days but I'm taking some things with me so the only meals I'll have trouble counting will be a couple of dinners.

(I keep staring at the picture of the beignets and I can hardly wait...)
