Tomorrow I will go over to the park early, come home and shower, and then head to Ohio so I'm not expecting to make another blog entry until Friday. Having been so committed to this routine for the past six weeks, it feels unsettling to break it.

But I'm long overdue for a visit to my mother and she needs a resupply of jam. As it is, she will never have seen the weight I gained, and now lost, after I was laid up in December although she knows all the details. My mother who has never carried an extra pound in her 88 years...

Hot and humid weather due here for the next couple of days but still nothing to complain about. Yesterday was still comfortable and I did my hike almost without breaking a sweat. I saw a beautiful black-billed cuckoo waiting for me to move on before it delivered a fat caterpillar to its nest.
